Granite View Resort

An Approach to Development With a Sense of Place

The Granite View Resort, as its name implies, is situated within a spectacular set of rock outcroppings in Prescott, Arizona.
Zucker Architecture carefully designed its eighty-four time share units, lodge, tennis courts, and swimming pool to integrate into the natural environment.

When completed, the rough hewn logs, rustic stonework, and stucco textures will harmonize with the surrounding landscape and create a rich opportunity for recreation and relaxation amongst the boulders of the Granite Dells, outside Prescott, Arizona.

A New Approach to Community: Cohousing

Manzanita Village Cohousing Rendering
Jeffrey Zucker cofounded Manzanita Village, Arizona's premiere cohousing community. Created to foster and enhance a genuine feeling of neighborhood, there are many opportunities imbedded within the design to encourage conviviality, foremost amongst which is the placement of the homes along a pedestrian walkway.

There are also community gardens, play areas, and covered parking areas, as well as a common house, where neighbors can dine together, watch movies or just plain chat.
Over half of the 12.5 acres were preserved as open space in the master plan, which grouped the houses at top of the sloping hill side to take advantage of the wonderful views and sunshine.
